Soma means body, and Somatic Breathwork is a journey inward strengthening the connection between the mind and body. We will use the breath to clear out any unexpressed emotion or unconsciously stored stress and tension. Once that’s released you are able to re-pattern your nervous system and call in what you want to feel, the mission or purpose that you feel most aligned to and want to connect with. This type of breathwork helps release anxiety, stress, burnout, difficult emotions, and it allows you to call back in ease, create space, and find clarity. Somatic breathwork equips you to go out into the world grounded and with ease allowing you to live a more purpose driven life.

Hi, my name is Ruthie! I’ve been deeply invested in health and wellness for the past 15 years. I was a competitive athlete from a young age through university having played collegiate soccer. I double majored in Kinesiology/Movement Studies and Medical Anthropology where I studied the power of both movement and healing modalities from around the globe. I’m deeply passionate about the mind-body connection.
A year ago after my first Somatic Breathwork session I left having felt the safest, anxiety free, and most grounded in my body that I’d ever felt in my life up to that point. I had two burning questions - how do I develop this feeling as my baseline and how do I help others with this? I went on to attain my somatic breathwork certification from Somatic Release where I was trained by founders Steven Jaggers and Andrew Fischer.

Tedi Serge
Tedi Serge is a Kundalini Teacher with a deep connection to the practice. She knows the power it holds and loves to share it with her students. The practice is based on truth and throughout a kundalini class you are able to unveil your highest-self leaving everyone feeling refreshed and with clarity. She started learning kundalini yoga in 2012 in Santa Monica, CA. She was a devoted student for years and in 2020 decided to begin a yoga teacher training. In 2021, Tedi started teaching in Boise and has made her mark as one of the “go-to” teachers for this modality. She brings a grounded energy to the practice and students claim she teaches KY in an approachable way.
Claire Richardson
A proud native of Boise, Idaho, Claire is passionate about health and wellness. She earned her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training certification in 2022 through iLa Yoga in Nosara, Costa Rica. Inspired by her journey, Claire began sharing her love for yoga through outdoor classes at Camels Back Park and has since joined the vibrant community at Studio Lotus in Boise.
With a commitment to inclusivity, Claire strives to create a warm and welcoming environment for all her students. She loves hosting meaningful wellness events and continues to teach outdoor classes during the warmer months, fostering a deep connection between yoga and nature.
When she’s not on the mat, you can find Claire exploring Boise with her pup, Stanley—hiking the trails, discovering new local eateries, thrifting for treasures, or enjoying quality time with friends and family.

Announcing Monthly Sound Baths at Hollywood Market Yoga
Each month will be a different experience curated by our resident sound bath practitioners. Gentle yet powerful sound frequencies from crystal sound bowls, gongs, and chimes will tune your nervous system and harmonize mind, body, spirit. Come prepared for a transformative experience. Once you’ve had your first sound bath, you will want more! Wear comfortable clothing. Have a mat, and a covering for the eyes. We have blankets and bolsters for your comfort. Be well hydrated. Lie in Savasana. The experience lasts about an hour.

Join Caitlyn to learn the basic fundamentals of handstands.
